Couples Counselling in Newbury – Strengthen Your Relationship with Professional Support

Relationships naturally experience challenges; couples counselling can provide a supportive space to reconnect and rebuild understanding. At my practice in Newbury or online, I offer professional couples therapy designed to help partners improve communication, resolve ongoing issues, and strengthen emotional connection.

I work with couples facing a range of concerns, including communication difficulties, trust issues, recurring arguments, intimacy challenges, life transitions, and relationship stress. In a calm, confidential environment.

Whether you are hoping to repair a struggling relationship or simply want to deepen your connection, couples counselling at Gentle Counselling provides practical tools and compassionate support to help you move forward together.

Couples Counselling for Birth Trauma

Experiencing a difficult or traumatic birth can affect both partners and place unexpected strain on a relationship.

Couples counselling for birth trauma at Gentle Counselling provides a safe, supportive space for partners to process their experiences together, helping each person feel heard, understood, and supported.

Birth trauma can lead to feelings of anxiety, guilt, anger, or emotional distance, and partners may struggle to understand each other’s reactions during the early stages of parenthood.

Through couples counselling, partners can explore how the birth experience has affected them individually and as a couple, while learning healthier ways to communicate, rebuild emotional connection, and support one another during recovery.

First steps:

The best way to start is to have a brief phone call, my number is at the bottom of the page. There is no fee and no obligation to continue therapy.

You can also click here to book a free consultation on my calendar automatically.

This would consist of a 20 – minute call so that we can discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, for me to answer any questions you may have, and for us to get a feel for how it would be to work together.

After this if we are both comfortable to work together we would arrange a date and time for our sessions to begin.

Fee`s if you decide to continue after the free consultation:

My fee is £90 for each 50-minute couples session.

Sessions would be conducted weekly, once we agree a day and time, this slot will be held for you.

Your sessions can be conducted online via Zoom, or face to face.
